I am equally at home in addressing policy issues or managing complex projects. I have strong listening and facilitation skills and am experienced at developing a consensus on the best way forward in any given situation. I have particular experience in the disability and health sectors and in the funding, social investment and commissioning fields.
Recent assignments include:
- Review of the Herefordshire Alliance, a health and social care umbrella body, for Herefordshire Public Services.
- Exploration of the potential for greater collaboration between RADAR, the Disability Alliance and the National Centre for Independent Living (NCIL).
- Investigation of sustainable funding strategies for youth facilities for Clubs for Young People
- Board development work for The Diana Awards charity
- Writing the Public Service Income section of the Know How Nonprofit website for Cass Centre for Charity Effectiveness
- Mentoring the chief executive of a disabled people’s organisation; coaching staff
- Secretary to the NCVO Funding Commission (April- Dec. 2010)
- Interim Chief Executive of Disability Alliance, leading the merger with RADAR and NCIL (2010-2011)
- Series of articles based on interviews with charity chairs, chief executives and directors of fundraising.
